Before I make a mistake 😊 we have a 19 plate Aygo with the ‘auto’ gearbox. I am almost certain these are ok to tow as they are really robotised manuals(?).

Does anyone tow one and are there any issues to be aware of please? We don’t intend buying another town - car sized car so A-framing this one seems the right thing to do.

Thanks

What does the manual say about towing? I would abide by what it says.

Nothing I can see except when towing with a breakdown truck.
It does describe the gearbox as multi mode manual and it uses manual gearbox oil

I am pretty certain it is ok but confirmation from a Funsters would be great. I did ask the dealer but the concept of toading seemed alien to them.

I have a simialar Auto box (not an Aygo) and I tow that ok but to be absolutely safe why note phone Toyota GB.

We had a 2008 reg Aygo and towed that for 100's of miles with no issue. Unless they have changed the gearbox set up from an Auto clutch arrangement which I doubt then should be OK. The Toyota IQ Auto could not be towed as that was a different Auto Box arrangement.
