Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
We need some advice help re an awning for our auto-trail Cheyenne.

We did buy a Khyam Motor Dome Excelsior, fantastic put it up in the garden on my own took less than 5 mins, so easy with it`s built in pop up type frame.
Unfortunately Chris doesn`t like it so that is the only time it`s been out of the bag, now up for sale in the classified section.

So we are looking for a porch style awning, realise we will need to fit a rail onto the van, if you slide it into the sun canopy the sides will be away from the van as the canopy is away from the van buy say 110mm.
Also we need the length to be between 2300mm & 2500mm so as to fit between the windows.

Or can we roll out the Fiammi sun canopy and attaché sides and a front, would this be stable enough if the wind got up.
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Rob and Chris.

Yes your Fiamma is designed to do that, Peter from Johns Cross will no doubght confirm this:thumb:
as with any awning, wind conditions should always be born in mind before using any awning, and ALWAYS expect wind and strap/peg down accordingly
Says he who is in the middle of replacing his own:Doh::cry:

We are also trying to decide on an awning etc-It seems to be between a Fiamma Zip or a driveaway of some sort at the moment.
So,we will be watching this thread closely ::bigsmile:

If you need any advice please call us on 01-580-881288 or if you want to see whats available etc, just check awning on website.

If by chance you are going to the NEC, Darren and his crew will be manning our Fiamma stand and can show you everything Fiamma do as it will be on display.

Hi

We just bought a drive away awning off ebay and it is brand new, it is a framed one which we much prefer to the pop up that came with our MH.

It is very much each to there own but the snag with the Fiamma zip outs, as we see it is you have to take it apart when you need to nip out in the MH, whereas the drive away you can leave as a pitch marker with table and chairs etc left behind. Much depends if you are wanderers like us or content to stay put for longer periods.

Cheers Alan and Lynda

caravan store

Oh well now we have both types, still got the Kyham and yesterday we got what we think is a bargain.
We have the Fiamma F45ti sun canopy and managed to get a large caravan store, in excellent condition with all the bits and bobs, curtains unused so well pleased.

We've had a Khyam Motordome Excelsior since August 2006 and are very pleased with it.

It's a bit more than we need for short trips and trips in colder months though so we've left it at home in those circumstances.

However, we have thought that a smaller porch awning would be useful on some occasions. For instance, we could have done with somewhere to leave wet coats and shoes at Stratford show last year.

As a result I just bought a Quest Panorama XL (second hand) on eBay last Sunday. It arrived yesterday and fits the van just fine.
