Looking to buy a Kampa Motor Rally Pro Air Awning for our Autotrail Apache 634, have measured the distance from the ground to the awning rail which is 255cm however when this is on the ramps it is considerably higher, as there are two heights of awning I just wondered if anyone else has a 634 with the air awning and if so what size they bought?

If the van is on ramps that implies the ground is not level.
If the ground is not level an awning is not going to work very well at all. The ground has to be fairly level for the fabric to reach the ground on all three sides. It's no good if you have slack fabric at one and and a gap at the bottom the other end.
If the awning is the right height when the van is on level ground without ramps then it's the right size. Don't worry about the ramps.

I'm a newbie
We have an Autotrail Cheyenne and have purchased a Vango Kela II air awning tall.
First tried the Vango on the awning rail on the attached Thule, but had a problem with the door hitting the Vango "skirt" roof, suggest you watch out for this.
Next time we used the throw over straps, much better and a lot less hassle than threading through the awning rail, even with the drive away kit.
It was windy and had noisy straps across the roof, was told to twist them and will try this next time.
We are very pleased with the Vango awning, it has some good features for windy conditions, which we have yet to try.

We have an AT Tracker and the Kampa Motor Rally Air Pro "L" (250-265cm in height I think) awning which works well for us.

Stupid or obvious as this may sound, do read the instructions before you erect it for the first time - we didn't and neglected to peg out the straps correctly. Lesson learned there... Get some silicon spray to make threading the beading in the wind out awning channel a little easier.

Thanks for that, do you use ramps to level your Tracker as we find our Apache leans forward slightly without them?
