Does anyone have good solutions for lighting up the awning tie down straps? Solar preferable to battery. Thought about ground fixing solar lights but not suitable for many hardstandings.

400 volt electric fence, seems, just "seems" to discourage people, easily worked from a 12 volt battery, there is however a 11,000 volt fence that you can get, once again from a 12 volt battery, that you know, with certainty! they won't be back!:cool::cool:

Well, it would save firing up the barbeque, provided you like kids...........rare ;)

Couldn't eat a whole one, though:blush:

Edit no kids were hurt in the making of this post. It was actually a joke. You think........

We got a couple of "stick in the earth" ones about 79p each in the pound shop (or not) but if we see some really tacky stringy ones, we'll be having some.

Mmmmm.........just love fairy lights

Solar ones. Can't see the problem on any surface, after all you are presumably pegging the tie down straps. If tied to a tree (we've done that) then the solar bit can always just be tied to the strap.

Yellow straps still aren't much good in the dark:( Think we will add solar lights to our shopping list for Malvern & see what we can find...

I thought about suggesting those too but I don't think they're mean to be unrolled and rolled up again and again.

People who wander around a camp site at night without a torch should expect greater calamities than tripping over an awning steady. After all how many tents have guy rope lights attached. Seems an unnecessary piece of kit to carry to me

Instead of solar or battery, how about some luminous stuff instead:
