unfortunately our MH is in dealers hundreds of miles away so we can’t measure and I have looked everywhere for this already including swift specification sheet.
Does anyone know the awning mounting height - we want this to order a lily pad awning and also for a panoramic Thule room.
Has anyone on here used a Thule panoramic on a new escape fittted to the factory fitted awning and how did you find it please in actual use ???? We have little dogs so the sides need to fit to the van or we would have considered rainblockers as cheaper. TIA

The wind-out awnings fitted to your Swift and most other motorhomes are very good at providing shade on hot sunny days or as a space to dry off wet dogs before allowing them into the motorhome but the framework does not normally handle high winds very well. We always wind our awning in when it becomes windy having seen some awnings being blown up over the top of motorhomes in the past and ripping the awning out of the side of motorhomes in the process. If thinking of going out and leaving your awning / with side shields unattended its worth considering a stand alone drive away awning which will save you taking everything down if wanting to drive your van to refill fresh or discharge waste water tanks.

All sorted now thanks - we have quick fit Thule largest size for when we have grandkids and not too windy for sun awning and a pop up quest screen house 4+4 for when we want something quick to set up that we can drive away and leave. We had trouble fitting the Thule rail but rose awnings assisted us so all sorted now. The screen houses are pretty good in the wind so very impressed and so quick n easy to put up. Worth every penny.
