Can anyone comment on suitable awning length to fit a standard 5.99 meter PVC?
Is 3.75m about right, is 4m too long?

What size have you fitted to your panel van?

FUNSTER in a PVC
We have a 3m fitted and it’s fine any longer and you may find it overhangs either end forgot to say the van is 6m.

We have a Wildsx Europa (a tad longer, but it might give you a guide) with a factory fitted canopy / awning. It reaches from as far back as it can be fitted to just in front of the sliding door

If it's a roll out awning that fits the roof lugs you are after like a Fiamma F65 I think it has to match the roof lug positions because they have special reinforced areas at those positions built into the casing. Hope that helps.

Yes they do, the dealer tried move one from our 6m PVC to a 6.36m PVC and it wouldn't fit because of this, so we did a deal and bought a new one to fit for £300 extra.

For me the biggest issue with an awning on a lwb x250 PVC is the fact that the sliding door is not really covered by the front of the awning, plus it gets in the way of the passenger door. So we tend to pull it out at the front, spoiling the shape, and half covering the passenger door. But we don't normally stop long enough at one site to make it worthwhile putting it up. TBH, we tend not to use the Fiamma that much, not sure it was worth the £1,000 the dealer charged. Lengthwise, no comment. Not sure this post helps you. Sorry!

The best length for a 6m van is the 3.7 m long one, it used to be the Fiamma F65s but that has been replaced with the F 80. Very easy to fit but you have to buy the brackets which bolt to the existing lugs on the van roof.

Yes, that's the one I have, for my 6 metre van. OP has a 6.3.
