Happy to report following the auto deployment of my awning, that all is now well approximately half hrs job with no dismantling of the awning legs, the ratchet can be removed and re fitted with care and a basic understanding of things springy
Many thanks to Linda and JC of Stateside Tuning for the supply of the parts reqd and door to door delivery of same
My old unit is now fully repaired and will be carried as a spare in case of emergency,
tools reqd 1 step ladder, 1 set mole grips,1 drill 3 pop rivets to suite and a riveter of course, 30 spare mins and bobs your aunty:thumb:

Both Max Airs fitted and in place they do fit the Fantastic fans despite instructions saying they dont:Eek!: and no holes in the roof:thumb::thumb:

All you need now is a couple of big Parp Parps on the roof :thumb:
