I have an Avtex TV, and trying to figure out how to get it to work. I notice others are talking about changing the fuse for the 12v but I can't figure out where that even is, there seems to be a cord missing for the 240v, tried to take the TV apart to figure out what is missing but can't seem to be able to do that either even though I have taken out all the screws. Any ideas?

Do you have the correct power lead? If so and the red standby light is on, you need the remote to control it or you can use the manual buttons along the top of the TV.

Not a very tech person, but I wouldn’t think there would be a fuse in the TV itself, if that is what you are looking for.
Have you connected a cable between the TV and a 12v socket? Is the aerial connected?
There is a rocker switch ( on the top of ours), push that down and the red standby light comes on, then as MisterB says, use the remote to control it. Do you have the instruction manual?

Some have two on off buttons...no really. One sends it to stand by only ( right hand side on ours) one turns it off off (left) and nothing works till that one is pressed to on

Hi you can download the user manual, just google Avtex tv manual .

First things first, check that you have power to the 12v socket by plugging in something else. If the socket is like the type on a car dashboard, try a satnav. If no power then you have to look for the fuse. If there is power then the TV buttons.

On my L187DRS there is a semi hidden on-off rocker switch in the base next to the red/blue indicator light. I found out the hard way!

The fuse will be in the power plug just unscrew the end there will be a glass 2a one inside🤔

What age/model is it?

As above.
There are two cables supplied with the TV, one is a 12v supply cable, the other is a 240v cable.
The TV has a physical switch to turn it on, (this isn’t always obvious depending on how the tv is mounted) and it also has button to put it into, or out of standby.
Ive not seen or read about anybody fixing a fuse for the TV, possibly the socket, but not the TV itself.

As Landy said,I’ve never heard of a fuse in a tv, on mine, there is a grey push button on the bottom left side ( not obvious) I would try to use the remote for other functions,,( check batteries in the remote)

As emjaiuk said it’s very easy to catch the on/ off switch when handling tv. Similarly I found out hard way. Checked all connections etc then gave up and looked at manual and thought what ***ing switch. But it cured the problem!
