Avtex STH3000 Antenna

Hi guys, we mainly use satellite tv in our motorhome and its fine when we have clear line of sight
to the satellite. But I also want to be able to receive terrestrial digital tv when satellite reception
isn't great. Don't want to permanently fix anything to my motorhome so I am very interested in
the Avtex STH3000 antenna, our tv is an Avtex Pro 19" which has both terrestrial and satellite
receivers built in. Whats your opinion of this antenna ? Best regards Mike..

It’s a good aerial ,but the sucker is rubbish mine kept falling off and I didn’t want it permanantly fitted so I clipped it to the rooflight.

I've got straight line of sight to our TV mast, its about 3 miles away & our Avtex STH3000 antenna refuses to pick up a signal!

We use one in our Eriba with an Avtex TV, we just hang it inside and get a signal no problem in most places.

Hello from Devon.
Avtex STH3000, very good, but don’t forget to go to your settings on the TV to turn on power to the Antenna as it take a small current to power it.

I've got straight line of sight to our TV mast, its about 3 miles away & our Avtex STH3000 antenna refuses to pick up a signal!

It has a 20 dB amp built in so could be swamping your receiver.

Yes you probably need to attenuate the signal,try a 15db attenuator. I had this problem with my house reception !
