Avtex not working

I’ve returned in my tv many times , checked all the cables but struggling to get it tuned to anything - on digital

any ideas

Are you able to plug it into a know good tv aerial? If so does it tune in when you select TV as the source and press the AQT button?

You don't say which model or how it's connected up so the above might not match your scenario.

When you're retuning it, is it picking up stations? - mine usually finds around 100 but in some areas with a poor signal it may not find any or only 10 -20. edit - is there normally a decent signal where you are?

Avtex Ariel with a power booster - always has worked

You could try disconnecting the power booster just in case it's that.

Would that be powered from the USB socket? I have been reading reviews of Amazon Fire Sticks saying powering them from the TV USB (not Avtex) can cause problems with the USB output.

Nope, from the UHF/coax cable. There is a 5v feed to aerial setting in the menu.

My Avtex supplies adequate power for the firestick via it's onboard USB; my old home tv does not so a plus for the Avtex on that front.

I have concluded I was in a valley and couldn’t get a signal - not in a valley tonight so all is good cheers funsters
