Hi. New SIM pit into slot 1, worked a treat until we took it out to register on phone. Put back in and had connection to phones but not connected to internet. Avtex status showed card in slot 1 and Lebara 4G. Tried back in phone and all ok . Tried other SIM cards with same result, no data connection or no internet connection. Could it be a fault with the base unit?

Hi Bertie,

It's unlikely to be a fault with the router, sounds like it could be an APN setting issue. Best first step would be to do a factory reset on the router. There is a small pinhole reset button slot slot, you need to press this for about 9 seconds while the router is on, it will then take a couple of minutes to reset itself. Do this with the SIM card in, the leave it 5-10 minutes to see if it reconnects.

Also worth checking your antenna connections to the router are all good.

Thank Lee. Done all of that with calls to Avtex and Lebara. Put my crappy signal 3 SIM in and worked a treat. I think there is an issue with the SIM and their tech guys are having a look at it from their end. But router does seem like a good shout. What we think anyway. No time to do anything as off to Norway for 6 weeks on Thursday! Might buy a data SIM in Norway. Maps are all downloaded offline.

OK then, sounds like either an issue with the Lebara SIM or an APN issue. If Lebara come back and say that the SIM is definitely activated and working, perhaps ask them exactly what APN settings you should be using and try entering them manually in the router WebUI.
