But I'm a midge magnet. We were at Dores and cycled to Foyers on Saturday (not as part of the cycle event!)

Funnily enough we have a Lake Aviemore in N Z . Central Otago which is very much like Scotland. Good boating and fishing lake.

Our very first night wildcamping in Aviemore, there was a sign saying "wild campers welcome please leave it as you find it" what more can you ask for :) also after speaking with forestry ranger they're happy for you to spead the night and enjoy the areas. And the parking charge is cheap at £2 a day also for dog owners their trying to encourage a "stick and flick" policy which is to flick it off the pathways into the under / overgrowth to cut down on plastic bags but if your in a area where its not possible then bag it and bin it ;)

We usually take the road to Glenmore lots off nice spots all the way up to the ski centre, your parking ticket can be used in all the forestry car parks :)

We are staying in a house in Errogie overlooking Loch Farraline. Been to Dores and Foyers this week also. Weather has been fantastic. Last day today :crying1: drive back to Aberdeen tomorrow morning. I would recommend this place, Charleston from Wilderness cottages.
