Planning on a drive from Calais to Belgrade in Serbia to visit family in September.
Looking for advice on the easier route avoiding motorways unless neccersary in some parts especially as time taken is not an issue. Also what should one expect from the weather as we travel east at that tme of the year ?
Thoughts and advice gratefully recieved.

September will be fine everywhere in Europe. :) Unless you are returning around December I don't think you need to worry.

Good morning Sorry about the delay in responding bit of a mini crisis back home.
We are in a 6.2 m van conversion (Autosleeper Kingham) 35cwt. We will always try to avoid toll roads and where practicable also keep off the motorways as time isnt an issue but not a golden rule either.
