Looking for weight limits for front and back of van. Total 3500

Do you have a plate like this on your van…

The last two weights are the front and rear axles.

I'm guessing you're likely to have the original Fiat plate on the radiator support rail right in front of you when you open the bonnet.

There's normally another 'convertors' plate elsewhere. This might be next to the Fiat one. Or in the door jam. Sometimes in the footwells. Mine was just inside the hab door.

If you have a second one, it'll supersede the weights on the first one.

This is the plate on my van which shows a total of 3850. My licence runs out soon I am 76. Do I have to keep my current licence which needs a doctors certificate as its over 3500 or can i change it down

?? It's plated at 3500 so no issues. 👍

Your adding axle weights together, it does not work like that.

How then do I find the weights I need to put in back and front to bring it up to 3500kg

Your plate is saying

Max weight 3500
max train weight 6000
max front axle weight 1850
max rear axle weight 2000
3rd axle not fitted.

So the max you can be is 3500, make that up front and rear however you want, but you can’t exceed 1850 front, or 2000 rear.
