Does anyone know what the payload is for a 2008 Hi-Line Scout on the Mercedes Chassis? The brochure on their website mentions axle limits, gross limit etc but I can't see any mention of MIRO or other description of unlaiden weight to let me calcualte the payload.

I am concerned as the 2007 brochure says the Mercedes has an unlaiden weight of 3505Kg and max of 3880Kg - 375Kg payload? With 4 adults that seems very little left for all the "stuff" we carry

Looking at the online brochure for 2008 it seems to state,,
Gross 3880 for both the 315 and 318
Unladen mass 315 = 3505 318 = 3545 (bigger engine ?)

Either way crap payloads... Be oveloaded before you even start !!!!
Being a used van any add on's will also come off the payload. Ie towbar, bike rack, extra battery etc..

maybe thats why it looks a bargain - and why Autotrail dropped the Merc chassis after 2008. I don't suppose anyone has had one of these uprated or knows if it possible to give a reasonable payload?

Our hunt goes on - maybe we can find one on a Fiat at a reasonable price.

Thank you for the quick reply

Consider the Apache 700..
Same layout but has a better payload...
My 2012 model has 730kg.. Awning is fitted as standard so that's already taken into account...
