Hi I'm new here, I'm filling my onboard water tank and it overflows and then syphons all the water from the tank, 2 overflow pipes run water out till tank is empty, the pipes are under the island bed as 2 u shape pipes Q is why does it syphon out??

Hi it's hard to get to the boiler to look for the valve but it only dumps if I over fill, but on the display panel it never fills more than 50 percent full. Not sure where the dump valve is

Sounds like the overflow has been left too low in the tank.
It should only be just below the top but if it was just pushed in during installation it may well go right to the bottom.
I'm referring to the inside of the tank.

When you overfill the outflow will cause a syphon effect in the tube and draw all the water out.
You need to either pull the overflow pipe out and push it back in a couple of inches or undo the inspection bung and have a look inside.

Ignore the level gauge, they are seldom accurate.

Clean the sensors in the tank if it's full and only showing 50%

Some friends on site here have had 3 Autotrails and told me the other day that all of them have had this ‘feature’. He had just put a watering can full of water in and it all came out again. Amazing!

I'd second PPJ's comments, it sounds like the overflow(s) are too low in the tank, if they were correctly installed then there's no way they could siphon off the contents.

Not me, more than happy buying an Auto Trail, never had an issue... Also It maybe an age and lack of cleaning & flushing issue.
