Love the scout as well, had one back in 2001 but it got smashed... Wanted another but the 700 was cheaper..
Just a correction....@SC 05 OUT more payload on the 700 :)

Is it 100% an Auto Trail that you want ?
Only an enquiry as our Swift 630L 2005 is going on the market very soon.
Very similar layout. 6 Berth. Dinette with belts + huge rear lounge.

According to Autotrail's R&D department, the 20006 model will have the new Fiat galactic shuttle chassis and be capable of reaching the Caravan Club site on Saturn without stopping at Mars for more dark matter fuel rods!:)

is that year on year?, I know the newer 700 has a biger payload than an older scout but I was under the impression the
o5 year scout had a lager payload than an 05 year 700. if not I stand corrected, but as you say both good vans

I think it is year on year,... Certainly true on 2005 and 2012 models that i have had..
The 2005 apache 700 is quoted as 670kg where the Fiat based scout same year is 560kg..
My 2012 has 720kg but they do now use a 4250kg chassis.. The scout is a little less, must be that big fridge they fit in ..

Equally both great layouts and vans... :)
(Apart from the leaks in mine but all sorted now )

@jonandshell :) It look's like that and a few people commented but I think it was just the angle and distance.

after plowing through the 05 manual your correct, I was allways under the impression the alko chassie was lighter then the fait, but it seems the payload you quote is right(n) the track is wider on the alko and its got more outside storage but for some reason less payload

The new 700 is well improved, good payload and they have dropped the rear floor right down to give some large locker space and straight through access.. Also gas bottles moved so both boxes under the dinette seats are empty for additional storage.

Could be interested. When are you thinking of selling?

Hi,
we MAY be selling our beloved Isla (06 Apache 700se) at the end of August. I genuinely don't think you would find a better one anywhere, been looked after and with us a while, without ANY issues.
Been upgraded with air suspension, superb solar system (not been on hook-up since fitment) new main battery and a pair of leisure batteries recently, full set of new Michelin Agilis Camper tyres (Jeeze, they were £600), regularly serviced (over regularly), wonderful large U shaped lounge, genuine six berth,,,, and the list goes on - she is a low mileage, fantastic example and we looked at many (and travelled 1000's of miles) in our hunt for Miss Right. It's going to be a hard decision but we have been smitten by a Rapido Tag 10001 A class,,,,, just got to get the maths right now.

Lordy, she's even got a buddy - a Peugeot 107, five door toad with 'A' frame system that may go with her,,,,, They are currently inseparable due to mutual love.

Here is a snap enjoying the freedom of her.

Broken Link Removed

Anyway, PM if interested old chap.(y)

Regards,

Trikeman. ;)
