Autotrail A class finally

It looks like they are on Fiat chassis🤔

Saw one of the old ones at Lincoln show.Still looked good.Like the look of the new one.Wonder whether they will suffer the same build problems.

Looks nice styling.

Looks like they ve at least sorted the layouts out, the previous one was weird. Don't hold your breath for build quality though.

I agree with you Chris the styling & looks are great. Management won’t let me have an A-class, says they are too ugly. She just changed her mind. I wouldn’t have one myself though for various reasons , but good luck to them, reckon that it will be a great success.

The Hab doors on the wrong side, and the drivers door on the wrong side. I’d have to keep getting to do things instead of the wife

Very 'Mobilvetta K-yacht' from what I can see in comparable pics.

I'm with Zepp though, i.e. I wouldn't want to buy one from the first production run - or the second or third come to think of it.

My first van was a new Apache 634 and looking back it was no worse than others at the time, best point about it was that my late wife chose and loved it.
It would be good to see a british van up there with the rest, they only produced 52 l believe of the first Grande Frontier.

I love an A class but I often think that they look like a caravan with the towing frame and hitch stuff removed.

Who does their brochure design? Is it just my display or is the cropping around the MHs a total mess!

Personally, I like the look of it and as it relates to British jobs, I wish them well.

That's a very good sentiment to have but I still don't think I could part with my hard earned cash for an A-class Autotrail; i.e. I would always be worried about potential leaks and failing hab checks and that would just spoil the enjoyment for me.

We just need a few guinea pigs to buy and test them now.

A glaring mistake the steering wheel is on the wrong side for an A Class.

Layouts look very odd, every model only has 2 travel seats. No twin bed option which has been the most popular layout for quite a few years particularly in A Class vans. With those layouts the garage will be compromised.
Can't see them selling many another white elephant, most A Class buyers want German build quality not Watertrails.

AT Club Members Will buy because its an Auto-Trail:giggler:

But the last time round they didn't get past the first run ... ;)::bigsmile:

Payloads are In the brochure: 3650 kg, 4500 Kg & 5000 kg😊
There is a lot of difference between MAMs and payloads ...............

A lot of you lot are beginning to make me think about abandoning this forum as you seem so anti British that you do’nt seem to be able to say a constructive thing about our British industries.

We have owned four new Auto Trails, five Swift Kontiki’s/Bolero’s which have ALL have been as good as we expected them to be, two Burstner 821 ( A class ) that we’re both in and out of our dealers all the time, inc built in swimming pools between floors and an Adria ( A class ) that went back to the factory it was so damp and was eventually rejected due to the highest damp readings our dealer had ever seen. So do’nt try and tell me that your “ Krout “ built vans are perfect.

Now here is a fact relating to our V Line which I collected yesterday after having a Maxxfan roof vent fitted, due to the depth of the roof insulation Autovan could not fit a Thule or Fiamma roof vent, the Maxxair system allowed for the extra depth that the fitter had not come across in all the PVC’s that he had worked on.
There is a additional bonus with the Maxxair as this one has auto temp controlled opening , roof controls and a remote control facility, well done Auto Trail.

I very often come across bemoaning regarding your Hymers, Burstners, Defleffs, Rapidos but hardly anyone just goes on and on like you seem to do your very best to knock British industry.

I will shut up now before I get myself into any more trouble !

Probably imported as Autotrail have proved in the past they cannot build AClass very well.
One of there subsidiaries like Mobivetta as previously said. I hope they are using the new fully absorbing materials to build them or suppling wet suites as standard.
.

My negative attitude to British built vans has been growing from 1986.
Total vans owned 13. British vans with major problems 7. Foreign vans with no or minor problems 6.
I also sub contracted for motorhome manufacturers so worked within.
