We had a 2004 Cheyene 696G with merc 316 used to get around 25mpg and I didn't boot it usually around 50mph.good motors though would climb the steepest of mountains no trouble.
i get 24 mpg at 55 mph towing a fiat panda on a trailer and slightly less towing the same car on an a-frame. maybe its down to to the fact that the trailer has two wheels and less friction? also had it remapped so quite happy with the mpg considering this and the fuel used was from fill up to next fill up.
