I'm a newbie
See my post earlier today for the story so far and the details of our refillable LPG system. We were booked into the great C&MC site at Crystal Palace, where I discovered that SE London is an autogas desert. The two Shell garages detailed in the LPG apps have lost there autogas pumps. I ended up travelling 15 miles to the services on the A20 Swanley bypass where there was a functioning FloGas pump. I attached the bayonet adapter, and then tried to engage the pump nozzle. It was impossible. The GasIt adapter was a fraction too short ie the distance from the bayonet prongs to the o-ring at the base. The outer sheath of the pump nozzle could not rotate. Arghh!

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a UK bayonet adapter which is a little longer which would allow me to fill up with LPG in the UK?

I had the same problem heading abroad earlier in the year at a services, the standard uk adapter wouldn’t let me engage the gun as it was too close to the van bodywork, I just waited until I got to France and used a different adapter, I believe there is an extension piece (not cheap) just can’t find the thread and manufacturer will have a dig around.

They sell a bayonet adapter extension specifically for Morrisons Supermarket nozzles that have a badly designed nozzle

I don't have any problem at Morrisons with my standard adaptor. Our Morissons has one of the newer pumps which I find much easier to use.

Oh yeah - Just typical.
The south east (especially East Sussex) always get the top kit first :swear2:

While us poor sods in the north are still waiting for the Northern Powerhouse and the governments Leveling Up promise to kick in.:Eeek:

:crying1:
And Morrisons are a Yorkshire based company

They are half way up the country. Crewe has a new double sided pump. Very posh.
