I have got a 11kg Gasit refillable bottle in the motorhome and want to fit an Autogas filler. I have all the bits but need to know the legal bits.
Can I fit it next to the bottle cabinet, level with the top of the bottle, then take it through the side of the bottle cabinet to connect to the bottle. Obviously all holes will be sealed.
Someone told me that it has to be within the confines of the box, or in the skirt below.
Can someone give me a definitive answer. Thanks

Yes you can fit it how you describe 👍 No legal requirements only that you should be able to fit responsibly

Thank you Terry. I will go ahead and fit it.

No i cant be definitive, but I would be unhappy with filler pipe coming through a habitation area to get to the gas locker, if that is what you mean.
I think, but not sure, that lpg pipes on car conversions that enter car seating/boot area are run within an externally vented pipe so in case of a leak lpg is vented externally.
Again I caution I cannot claim expertise in this.

Have a shuftie at this thread about fitting a filler as it shows images of where they have been fitted.

It isn't recommended to fit it where it has to pass through the habitation part of the MH at all, but looking at your MH's photo it could probably go into the skirt itself to the side of the locker.
