Hi Folks
We have a 2005 Starfire which since new has had a myriad of problems,some of which were sorted under warranty and others that were Never sorted satisfactorily.
So resorted to solving them myself. Would say that most probs were caused by shoddy workmanship at the factory. Overall tho' we love the van and its' layout but would change/look at a few things differently with the next van we purchase.
One thing that comes across after 25 years of carravanning and three years of motorhoming is the fact that the industry as a whole is still using cheap and nasty products,ie door/cupboard catches, window/door locks, internal plastic stick on trim,plumbing /waste fittings etc,etc.
On the subject of catches, do any of you starfire owners know of a catch system that would fit to the bathroom cabinet mirror doors . The catches that were fitted at the works are so crap that they have failed after less than a dozen actuations.
Swift have not come up with an answer as to a suitable replacement allthough bless 'em they were looking into it. I have trawled dealers without success so any leads would be helpful. Regards Badger1
