I have an elderly, but much loved Autocruise Stargazer (Peugeot Boxer base), born in 2006, about 45,000 miles on the clock. Three weeks ago, I was leaving the C&C Club site a St Neots, after being static for 3 nights. The steering was very heavy, but I managed to get home and turn onto my drive (more spinach needed.) My local garage rescued me (walking distance from H/A) and found that a bracket had broken off over time and the hose from the power steering reservoir to where it was needed had rubbed against the steering column, causing it to leak. Took three weeks to get a new hose (from Holland), as Peugeot have discontinued them, but there was no rush. All sorted now, but worth a check if you have such a van.

As a side note to this we used to get hydraulic hoses made for the old buses we inherited. There was a local firm that made them copied from the old ones. It may save time getting you back on the road.
