My dealer has just called to say that our July Expedition 67 delivery, postponed to August/September is now likely to be September/October. This is from an early December 2020 order. This is after changing the underslung LPG to Calor to keep production going. Anyone got any further information on this?

Auto Trail build van conversions for four different companies and just like Hymer, Rapido, Fiat, Ford & Mercedes etc they are struggling with both production line staffing and supply issues. It's currently a global problem.

Yes - you're right. It's just the perfunctory way in which they deliver the information.

Yeah I know, even harder when the weather's good and you could be out enjoying your new investment. Any chance that you could switch to something similar already on their forecourt?

So little on the forecourts.

There part of the Trigano group I think.

About 23 different manufacturers throughout Europe and UK.

AT's new F line range on the Transit is very much a hybrid of Roller Team, Benimar & Chausson and their new A class is similar with the Mobilvetta coach mirrors plus I think the drop down bed is the same design as Roller Team's Pegaso... which are built on the same production lines as Mobilvetta's K Yacht & KEA I. in Tuscany.

Collecting my April 2021 factory order Dethleffs next week. Sorry for being smug but it really doesn't have to be that way.

Well, as in the U.K. dealers will sell 5 Expeditions to every 1 Dethleffs it's not surprising.

I don't see any logic in that but whatever.
At the moment companies such as Hymer & Knaus have U.K. specified chassis cabs ready to convert as sales during 2020 dropped off, there's a surplus. They have the ability to build 2021 model year vehicles on 2020 chassis cab stock. It was a very strong year for British vans, coach builders are struggling and in some instances failing to satisfy demand in the original times specified as they basically sold everything.

During July & August the major British coachbuilders and converters tend to have a stock overlap, it's designed that way to give themselves the time to build the next model years initial stock orders. They've not had that luxury this year, even now they're building motorhomes that are already sold.
