Hi @travelbunyip welcome to fun look forward to watching your progress.

A question you may be able to help me with, we were friend tonight who have just got back from Australia, and they asked us this, a friends son is 19 and coming over from Australia in May, he wants to buy a really cheap Campervan he has his grandparents address to use for insurance, but no idea of what is what how do you go about getting insurance etc. I said I would try and get some info but have no idea of the ins and outs.
Thanks Carol.

Hi carol, he might buy a really cheap campervan , but the insurance won't be really cheap. That may /may not be an obstacle. At 19 , hell probably end up paying more than the van .
Hello travelbunyip, welcome to fun. Enjoy your European travels.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. We are looking forward to reading some of the information in the site.
Carol regarding the insurance question, I'm sorry but I don't know what the options are. We are in a fortunate position as our motorhome is insured in my cousins name and we pay the local rates in the Netherlands.

Agreed and needs research.

Most, if not all, insurers wont insure under 25 years old.
