Apart from Audible (which I don’t want to sign up to) have you any suggestions where I can get FREE audio books & podcasts ?

Local library. I have had all the one that I requested. Try Libby app that’s what I use now but you can only get books if they stock them. You can reserve if the A /book you want is out on loan. You can see libraries all over the world but can’t borrow them. I wanted a book that was only available in Canada but they would not let me borrow it. Something to do with libraries being paid for by local rates. Be aware you will get through many more A/books than if you had a hard copy. Good luck

where I can get FREE audio books & podcasts ?

There are many old radio programs and books you can download free from YouTube -- including old Navy Lark episodes. I've not looked for the Archers

I transfer all mine to a USB stick

Any amount to buy on here -- as cheap as chips.
