I have been championing for the last few years about quoting battery storage in Watts instead of Amps...How many MH owners know how many amps your headlight bulbs draw, or Microwave, or Hoover ?..So much easier to use Watts,...older type headlamp bulbs are rated at 21 watts,..microwaves 800-1200 watts etc....Now 'At Last' batteries are being advertised with their capacity in 'Watts'
Using 'Ohms' law,. where a 100ah 12 volt battery is used,..100 x 12 = 1200 Watts. so, that means in theory a 1200 Watt battery could at the absolte maximum run a 1200 Watt Appliance for 1 hour, although you would probably only get about 80% of that figure.
