As this was a fairly universal problem with Teleco systems I’m amazed that the dealer didn’t know how to sort it.
You would expect them to keep fairly up to date with the systems they sell.
Once you find the correct update for your system on the Teleco website it’s quite easy to install it.

Our Teleco was factory fitted. Dealer was clueless.

The OP should phone Scan Terieur UK who will help him. They are the UK agents for Teleco and will help him as they did for me

Hi yes I've called Scan Terieur after seeing advice to do so earlier in the thread. It appears whoever had it fitted went for a fancy-dancy 'Intelsat 907' version which Teleco won't allow the customer to update, so it needs to go back in to the dealer. The dealer claims that Astra 28 was working before it was sold to us, yet it hasn't worked since Day 1 of us having it (which was only the beginning of October).

I'm kind of relieved to have finally got to the bottom of it, especially knowing I wasn't doing anything wrong. But sooo frustrated as the MH is only 18 months old and we've had it for such a short time, I kind-of hoped it would all 'just work'.

Sorry to hear this. All dealers are saying the same. Hope you get it sorted soon.

There are other Teleco specialists out there who will update the control box for you, including the Intelsat 907/901 settings but they do charge somewhere between £40 and £60 I think.

Well the MH went back to the dealer last week and they upgraded it. Hey presto! It works!!

I'm a bit annoyed that they told me they 'had it working fine before they sold it to us' as I don't believe it for one second, however, they resolved it, foc, and the picture is pretty impressive.
