Hi we are brand new to this.....is anyone else having trouble today picking up Astra 2 satellite?

Sky has changed the frequency Astra 2 transmits on. There are fixes for it but you will need to google your system. Mine is a satfi and their web site had a 2 min fix to change frequency to 11836. Now all is well again

Had to download a firmware update for our Snipe 2 before it would lock on to Astra 2!

When did this happen? as I have trolled the sat forums and no mention of this. They did 3 years back change frequency is that what your talking about?

According to , it states that it is "effective 20-10-2017". Until recently, I always managed to lock onto Astra 2, but last weekend I could't. Now can after fix. Unfortunately I know no more.

We were in a poor satellite reception area at the time. It's worth doing the update though! A new feature is that the home and gps lights now flash alternately rather than together! Seriously someone was paid to programme that!

Thanks to all who replied to us, we did have to update our oyster and now all fine although it did involve a long conversation with the oyster people, the frequency changed October apparently.
