Too long lol
Sitting here twiddling thumbs I went into menu on Satellite Dome and now confused, that’s not hard lol
As per pics I get BBC1 (pick, Dave and a few others) on Astra1H 1KR as well as Astra 2A 2B without moving the dish. Does that mean the dish has 2 lnb or is it something else, also I thought it was Astra 2E now?
In Normandy at the moment your thoughts?

Since 2008 & many years tugging
As you haven't moved the dish you must still be on Astra 2, those channels are not available on Astra one. It must be your tuner throwing a wobbly.

It simply means you have performed a scan on both astra 1 and astra 2 on the receiver without moving the dish from Astra 2.

So your receiver will have gone through its list of frequencies it has for Astra 1, scanned them, and put whatever channels (from astra 2) it has found.

Frequencies are not exclusive to one satellite, and your receiver does not know that you have not moved your dish from Astra 2, so simply scans what it can, and saves what it finds. Do the same on ANY satellite in the list, and it will still find the UK channels from Astra 2 that your dish is still aligned to.

Astra 2a, 2b, 2d, were retired a few years ago, and replaced by 2e, 2f and 2g.
Makes no difference to your receiver, as it simply scans the frequencies.
YOu could rename "astra 2a" on your receiver to "fred"...and it would still make no difference.

There are three ways to identify which ITV region is which.

Watch the local news (someone has to!)

Use a guide like : https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html
Your receiver may load the ITV regions in the same order for each frequency.

Use a guide like : https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html
and match up the video VPIDS on the list to the VPID data on your receiver (assuming it has the ability to show you that data) to see which region you have

Ooh Yummy. How about a seven year old Escape to the Country, where the price is of no relevance and the sun always seems to shine.:sun:
