Returning home last Sunday about 7pm we noticed just one motorhome parked at Cite Europe. It was parked in the farthest corner, backed up to the small enclosed treed area and had both cab doors and the sliding door open.
It was a UK van conversion (sliding door on left).
Migrants or not, this is a foolish thing to do, just asking for trouble!:cautious:

Maybe had a flood, drying out?
Was there only one van at cite Europe?
Are the Fear of the migrants making that much difference?

I have always questioned and mentioned on forums about Cite Europe, Why do people park up these dark corners away from everyone else ??
Ok It may be a genuine reason like they have a noisy dog, Running a Genie or fancy a bit of rumpy etc etc..
But as you say they are just making themselves more a target, plus leaving doors open

When you hear people say they have had issues there, you d have to wonder if they were one of those corner parkers.. Me, I prefer to be in the centre and another van either side of me. That way you have several sets of eyes and ears...

X hubby of mine liked to park in the furthest cornet awry in a supermarket car park. Yep you guessed it be was broken into.
I never park furthest away, always as close as I can and close to other cars, preferably newer ones than mine. :)

I always park up as far away from other motorhomes as possible unless I am with people I know (and like).

Just because it is not what you choose to do doesn't make it wrong.

Of course, I have only been motorhoming fulltime for twenty five years so I still have lots and lots to learn.

Beats me why anyone would want to stop the night at Cite europe, its certainly not for the peace and quite. But there again each to there own. Personaly I would much prefer to spend the night at Tardinghen with superb views and extremely peaceful.

just a thought
