We are looking at a couple of AS Kinghams a low mileage 2015 and a new one. Apart from the money saving and a few aesthetic improvements we are wondering if there are any technical or specification differences.

The dealer might well tell us, but they were not able to today.

So if anyone can that would be very helpful.

Thanks

so thats a biggie, or could be in the future.

Does that mean the 2017 needs Ad Blue and the 2015 doesn't ?

I can only speak with certainty about the 2017, which does need Ad Blue. I don't think the earlier variants did.

If you ever intend to carry anything on the roof, load bearing roof rails are best fitted at the build stage, otherwise the standard rails are cosmetic only.

Finally we made a decision and have done a deal on a 2017 Kingham that was in stock at the dealers. We will collect it after our week in Turkey. Looking forward to increasing our trips away in the UK and abroad. Loved the T5 California, but won't miss the beds or having to put everything away to go to bed. We already had booked two weeks in Cornwall with the young adults, who will be in tents and a weekend up the road in North Wilts with friends.

I've just responded in that other place we frequent (y)

IMO, which isn't entirely unbiased, you've made an excellent choice of van and I hope you get many miles of enjoyment from it :D

Im a newbie
We have the AS Kemerton and love it. I would not pay much more for the later Kingham just based on the engine. The earlier one is fine and doesent require adblue.

There were several reasons why we went with the 2017, the choice of interior, Euro 6 engine, warranty, some mods were not for us. Having negotiated a price we were happy with for the new one it made sense. Hopefully its the last change for a while, although we had the previous two for only about four years each.
