I see that AS Bikes are going to have to apply an 83.6% tax, which is to be applied by the EU, to electric bikes from the Far East

Prices are held until January 2019, for anyone thinking of buying in the near future. Hope that they are able to continue to supply parts and service to existing customers

Website now shows the following message;-
PLEASE NOTE THE WEBSITE IS PASSWORD PROTECTED BECAUSE WE ARE ON A SMALL HOLIDAY FOR A WEEK.
Seems a strange thing for an internet based business, close for a week?
That and the ‘out of stock’ warning for both bikes and batteries till the end of August doesn’t make me think this is a business resilient enough to offer either good customer service or ongoing parts supply!
@Jenka you may have been lucky!

When judging a small business I would always take personal recommendations rather than a random visit to their web site

That just tells you how they have acted in the past, not the future ... I can't believer they have put such a 'bad' message on their site ... it certainly does NOT fill me with confidence for their future existence!

Do you think they've been 'hacked'?????

No, I think that I have seen them do similar in previous years. Small business going away on holiday and want to prevent anyone placing an order that would not be dealt with for a week or two. I agree, not good if you urgently needed spares

I appreciate that they may not want orders being made that they cannot complete quickly but surely it would have been better to just restrict the ordering part, or put on a message about a daly, rather than take the whole website down! Not good practice at all.
