Arriving Late at Dover

Some has told us that there is a place to stopover at Canterbury if we arrive at Dover from France too late to get into a campsite.
Can anyone tell us where it is (the address) and what it is?

It's the new dover road park-and-ride.
When you come off the A2 you'll come to a roundabout, the park-and-ride is first left.

We use Tesco's car park, just up the hill from the port :thumb:

The Tesco's is 24 hour so you can also top up with goodies if necessary.

Never had a problem and often joined by other 'vans

hi iam from dover. you can park on sea front behind block of flats normally other motorhomes parked there going to france .there is a turning on left as you leave ferry terminal .

Canterbury is a great facility for motorhomes but unfortunately not much good if you are arriving late as the barrier is closed after the last bus leaves I think it is closed at 8pm , we recently came back from Germany and arrived just after 9pm along with a German motorhome and found it locked. If you do come back late then stop on Marine Parade in Dover it is free after 6pm.
