Looks lovely Ken, Lorraine says hope you both have a great time.

That Gulf Stream has a lot too answer for:LOL:

Lovely place, stopped there in 1973 when one of the attractions on the campsite was a flush toilet!

I have some really good sunset photo's from there and some from the top of the hill behind with the steam train looping round and crossing the shortest river in the UK. Photo's not digitised unfortunately.

Snow is coming tonight and tomorrow.

Away by Wednesday

Enjoy
Sounds like we’ve had hail falling quite a bit overnight, with a few rumbles of thunder in the distance, so daylight might bring a different picture.
Warm and toasty in the van, winter clothing ready, bring it on ?

Snow on the hills around Keswick and forecast to fall on the town tonight. Will leave heating on “night” setting methinks!

Is there a campsite?

I think there are at least 2 now, can't remember which one we used in 1973 or on subsequent visits, the last time would have been around the millenium........doesn't time fly!

They still have the same toilet

And then back in time for a short walk to watch the sunset over Eigg and Rum. The best bit about having to wear a big winter Parka, is the number of pockets for tumblers and hip flask ??

Ours was left at 6 degrees overnight and fired up a few times !

Can you paddle a wee bit faster next time, Ken so you can get a better picture of the gannet. Ta.;)
Weather seems to be on the downward slope as well over the next day or so.:(

I think it was a Cormorant, or possibly a Shag, but whatever it was, it was too fast for me ?

I think we’ve had the best of the weather and lucky to squeeze a couple of paddles in. Thinking of moving a bit nearer Oban tomorrow, then down to Tayvallich on Thursday to meet up with friends at the weekend. Wind speeds are definitely on the climb.
