Appears to be on freebi supplied routers, I always buy my own so I have full access to the settings.

You should really check at least twice a year if there is new firmware / update for your router irrespective of where it comes from.
Its quite easy to do and most routers have a check for update button in their settings.
Same as you do with your computer or phone.
