Not been to France for two years and now find that we are not allowed to fill our gas bottles This seems to be the law now if this correct how to others manage for supples Hope to be here for another three weeks but it’s raining now.

If one garage refuses just try another one never had a problem in Italy or Spain and its illegal in both those countries

As Lenny says its down to the operator and I've never been refused yet in France just try another garage.

Came back from France yesterday and as you say didn’t see another brit van. Only GB vehicles were on the road to the port.

Didn’t get gas this time though sorry. Just try a big filling station where they don’t care. It’s what normally works for us.

We are in France, been here for 3 weeks, currently in Bourcefranc-le-Chapus. We have met / 2 other Brit vans whilst here. Cannot help on the gas situation, sorry!

We had and exterior filler for our gaslow bottles. When a filling station challenged me, I just said for engine. If they see actual bottles being filled then you have a problem I think.

We’re here on our second of 6 weeks. Not seen much of any traffic. Not had a problem filling with LPG in France except finding an open garage between 1-2:30 pm! 😃

In Portugal I was told we don't fill bottles, I pointed at the filler and said it was a tank.

We,ve been over here for 6 weeks , saw 2 vans at a stage of the TdF early July. Since then Zero.France, Italy,Austria and now southern Germany.
Now heading slowly back towards Calais.

We filled with gas last year in Mayenne in a supermarket unmanned petrol station. Pay at pump type. Might be an option if you see one on your travels. 👍
