I am learning German but got a bit stuck on this one that I have been taught. I have been advised to say it everytime I meet someone.

I know that 1000's of European motorhomes put the snow chains on and head for the slopes. How do RV's handle in those road conditions, they should be better shouldn't they, with rear wheel drive and all that weight?

I have no idea how RVs handle in the snow or with snow chains on.

We have got the chains but seriously hope we never need them as they are very difficult on the widetrack chassis. I got some for the car, they are easy.

As for the ladies getting their way....:cry::cry:

Hi Billym
i would be carefull who you say that to roughly translated it means
"and what did you do during the war" :Eeek:
Also you may find that in Austria it is compulsive to carry snow chains ( schnee ketten) with you when the snow falls at least it used to be law :thumb:

"what did your grandparents do during the war"

Especially significant for Austria I think

Cheers

And what did your grandparents do in the war?

They bombed our chip shop thats what!

A cuple of years ago we were with some folks in Spain when one guy said he was from Liverpool. The German guy next to him said I have been to Liverpool many times then stuck his arms out to the side and made a noise like a bomber. Who says they haven't got a sense of humour?
