cant see how a battery can be dual purpose
Most new Stop/Start cars run on a type of dual purpose battery...........as they now run down a lot more than they used to.
As you may know modern cars run the lights fan blower and the like off the battery when the engine stops at the lights or in traffic. So even starter batteries for cars need to be dual purpose.

It will be a relabelled starter battery...especially at that price.
To be honest , looking at the other battery's he has for sale I would think it's probably a rebadged cheapo Lucas , can't be bad if it is(y)

I have the Varta/Bosch LFD silver batteries and they're fantastic, one good feature of them is that they charge very quickly too. Love them.

Thanks @dartslf2000 interesting reading. I remember reading a couple of years ago about the stop/start technology batteries in a self build forum.

Most people think that by paying for expensive AGM, Gel and other technologies, they are getting the bestfor their motorhome.

What they don't realise is that not all motorhome standard fit chargers and alternators are suitable for these and very quickly find that their expensive batteries or their alternators' are compromised.

Some so called 'experts' just haven't got a clue and end up throwing good money after bad.

Very true, I have two of these on the habitation side and one as my engine battery, so I can interchange and rotate the batteries if need be, or just to maximise the life cycle, as the engine battery will always have the easy life!

Sounds good darts, one for one would be safe but watch when you interchange, if you pair up batteries in different states of wear it could create problems, and destroy your batteries.

as long as you don’t abuse them you can’t go far wrong at that price and free pp.

What about extended/higher use power needs....how will it perform then ?

Thin plates...short period high amps
Thick plates....long period low amps

Doesnt work any other way.
I don't know how it will perform, my point was dual purpose batteries are available for specific needs.

My MH is fitted with a standard FLA 75ah and was wondering if these cheap batteries might extend my moderate use....ie 2 hrs tv, pump fridge ignition and led lights...... from 2/3 nights to a bit more. Especially when solar is non existent right now in Scotland.

7 years campers before that
doubling your capacity will always result in twice as long of grid and at that price it doesnt realy matter how long they last youll probably get two years from them
