I have a charger with a 13amp plug on one end and a plug that plugs into my car.
I also have a long extension lead 16amp from my ex motor home.

I need to plug my EV into a blue site type socket.

Can you show a picture of what I need please?

If you are thinking of this for when on a site, you'd also need to confirm with the site that it is allowed. For example, Caravan club don't allow charging from the bollard - you have to charge from a socket within your unit.

Best decribed a 'shrouded male' I guess - the type in the photo attached above.

For what it's worth my hybrid uses a 10amp charger, so I assume won't work off a 6 or 8 amp supply which some sites have. It's also a bit sensitive to using extension leads.

I won’t be using it on a site it’s for when I’m racing.

one of these if I am reading what you want correctly<Broken link removed>
Yup, thanks that will allow me to plug in an extension lead ( which I have ) just need to change the 13amp plug for the blue one.🤞👍🏼👍🏼

There is another version that is a combined unit, i.e. a 13A socket moulded on the outer end of a 16A plug.

However there is a good reason not to use them connected to external 16A sockets, the 13A portion is not in any way damp proof whilst the 16A side is. I guess that's why some sites will not allow their use.

Power source is always femaleotherwise you could touch it easily just think of how your plugs and sockets are at home

And don't be tempted to create a "widow maker" as known in the entertainment business. Usually caterers that need more than 13a. If the need 32a they have b en known to connect two cables with 13amp on each and plug them into adjacent sockets. Trouble is a double 13a is only rated at 18a max if on a ring, plus plug one end in, someone pulls out the second as they need to plug a kettle in, and you have 230v freely dangling on exposed pins.

Hopefully the idiots don't come across two 13a sockets on different phases.

I think the OP would have to make an adapter with something like this on the 13A end. It would need a weatherproof cable gland as an inlet, which doesn't seem to be built-in to the 'weatherproof' IP66 socket arrangement.
