"Are dash-cams legal?"

According to a letter in MMM, dashcams MAY be illegal in Spain (fine up to 2000 euros), Austria & Switzerland. MMMs editor is "still waiting for the Spanish authorities to confirm the situation".

Thanks, I'd missed that & just got MMM today. Should have known I wouldn't come across ANYTHING that you guys don't already know!!!

Well I have a "dash cam" in both our car and MH here in Spain and have been stopped a few times by police at road side stops and not had a problem with both GPS tomtom on and working and the dash cam above the mirror working.

And I just got a TINY discount off my car insurance for having one.. It was only a few quidlets but it all helps !
