Are calor lite bottles the same fittings as my normal calor bottle ,they might be better for weight,is itjustthe same only lighter ? I know it sounds dumb but i thought they might be worth a try

Yes, they are the same screw on left hand thread as standard 6kg bottle just a little lighter. They used to cost a little moor to exchange when I used them about 10 years ago. Allegedly to cover the development costs. Sure that cost has been covered by now. But it is Calor.

They certainly save a lot on weight, that leaves more room for wine!!!!

As long as you have a red bottle (propane) now then yes they are the same

I am lead to believe that some are and it’s a case of hunting them

It’s hard enough to find a 6kg , I have two on board and two back up at the moment there have been times when it’s taken weeks to get a refill !

Very difficult to find exchange calor lites apparently as opposed to standard 6 kg bottles.

Lite bottles available on Ebay from various sources but not always near [sigh] Ads say exchange like for like - I have an empty one I am trying to swap for a full one as reluctant to relinquish this prize possession ::bigsmile:
Swapped one last year but shop was miles away and my Tom Tom kept sending me to a road that wasn't there - ended up driving through a bus depot [nice traffic warden said I could as he was sick of seeing me going round n round. ]Hoping to find nearer one !
