Back motorhoming after a 6ish year break!
Just on our way to the tunnel, we are running around 1 1/2 hours late (another story 🤦🏼‍♀️)

The roof vents are actually doing my head in! They are so noisy, it's like when your window is down a crack and you're driving hell for leather down the motorway.

Is this normal and is there anything we can do about it?

They could be the ones fitted without the seal as an aid to ventilation, you can fit a seal as long as you realise that you are cutting out some air. You can also fit a Fiamma air deflector in front of it which may help.

I drive with large main roof vent closed but always leave small front hinged vent at rear of van on first open position and it’s not noisy.

After a rough night weather wise we've realised we are going to have to seal them.

We couldn't have the blinds closed as they were flapping in the draught. I was then awake at silly o'clock as it was as if I had a spotlight shining down on me as I'm directly under it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I stuff some insulation inside a pillow case in the rooflight cavity and close the blind up and hardly any noise when driving.

as said if it hasn't got the seal fit one before the roof light parts company with the van.I'd gaffer tape it from the outside permanently

Long time
Our temporary fix was to pack the offending areas with rolled up kitchen role, tea towels! I then found some foam seal that could be fitted when required. Finally found the fix using the right size plastic foam which was from the solar panel packaging cut into long strips. Worked very well! 😊
Depends on the make, but you can find the correct seal for sale on line. Doesn't help you at the moment of course!

I stopped the wind noise from our roof vents by fitting Fiamma wind deflector in front of them.
