I wouldn't take a coach or my RV thru there , just cause a lot of aggravation for everyone , looking at the size of the passing places on google maps should influence your opinion on what you drive .

We’ve done it in a 7.5m Bailey (so wider than most MHs) without undue problems. I think it’s easier coming from Applecross than to it, as the steep bits you’re going downhill. We took the coast road from the north to get to Applecross.

I would be in a 7.5 as well so that’s encouraging.

More than toes wet now!
The Bealach na Ba has major restrictions (closures) up to the end of May (I think) so better check this out if travelling soon!
Fibre optic broadband being installed!(y)

I took the coastal route in, it was simply beautiful. Wild camped half way there in a beautiful spot.

I thought about the pass, but decided I wanted to use the other route in.

We are 7 and a bit metres and my wife , who is from that part of the world, tells me it would be inconsiderate to other road users to take the van over there. It's perfectly doable but SWMBO says no.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We did it there and back no problems in our xlwb pvc.
Though it was before the route became popular on the NC500.
Plenty passing places. The problem is when there are a few vehicles in convoy .
Gridlock. So the locals said.

I have been caravanning for 32 years but in 2014 I have"gone over to the dark side"

Speaking as someone from the county who used to do it in a car it is easy enough to do but unnecessary and inconsiderate to other road users in my view - but each to his own :)

The problem is that most visitors don't know how to use single track roads, convoys are not the way to go, nightmare.

I had that problem when we were by Glen Coe last.
A proper kn*b head in a car thought I had to give way after he had passed a pull in not 5 yards back his way  with a clear view of me.
Defiantly a visit looking at the gear in the car and his passengers.
And to top it off I was going up an incline.
I swear people drive with blinkers on.

Did the coast road 2 weeks ago in a Bailey 7.9 meters with no problems. Plenty of passing places and found most road users friendly and obliging.
The Applecross inn is a great for food .

Done it a couple of times in a 7.7mtr coachbuilt but as above the road out of Applecross is quite a bit easier than going in. Nice to do it as a round trip taking in the coast road as well

3 years of weekending with the odd month here and there.
Did it in our 7.7metre (with bike rack) MH and I would not do it again, some of the passing places (on already narrow parts) are only 3-4 feet deep, if you meet another MH or van coming the other way on these parts it’ll be “interesting”.

Find that pretty patronising, it's common sense which a majority of people have. Now if more people use it because they can/will that's another issue "nightmare"

Experience would suggest that there are enough people who don’t exhibit your level of common sense.
It’s not personal, it’s just an observation.

Exactly what we did with our 7.4 metre A class, much easier coming down the pass then going up, great views up top as long as you are not in cloud,
