App to advise police in Spain of crime etc

Hope none of you need this, but there is now an app for iPhone and Android phones. The idea is that you download the app and register your details, if you then suffer a theft, physical attack or any other problems that you need to report to the police you can do it easily, in English . You also have the option of calling the police from the app. It has GPS capabilities so they know exactly where you are.

The app is called ActiveCops, I have successfully downloaded it on Android but haven't been able to find it yer on Apple, perhaps awaiting approval?

Interesting idea, but once word gets out won't thefts be more likely to include phones?

Not sure that will be the result as for some years you have been able to ring the police, in English, on 90 210 2112

This app works on tablets as well so you have that alternative - a safe to protect the tablet is not a bad idea for total security.
