Hello
Hope someone can help
The lights below pelmets are controlled via a dimmer switch and an on/off switch
When turned off and with dimmer also at lowest setting lights still glow by about 5%
Any ideas please
Oh the glow goes out if the earth wire is disconnected at every light.
The lights in the kitchen area and the bathroom are not affected.
I bought the van 2009 model 2 months ago the supplier had replaced these three lights for a reason I was unaware of. Not making this trivial item an issue with them but think it might be difficult for me to rectify

Seven plus years
LEDs only need a tiny current to operate. I would imagine the dimmer is not disconnecting the supply.

You could check by disconnecting the positive supply to the dimmer module.

It may be trial and error finding the cause of this anomaly.

16 years since restarting
Some led's glow dimly when off. Try swopping one that does for one of the ones that doesn't. I have had it happen on mains ones.

Yes you are correct there is 7v coming out of the dimmer switch when the on/off switch is turned off even with the dimmer turned to lowest setting. 7.5v at highest setting.
Very surprised that the power to the dimmer is still live when switched off.
Any more thoughts on this

have you tried turning them off when the dimmer is turned to brightest? sounds as though the on off switch doesn't work

Too cold and dark to go out again tonight

Back in the van
The 12v input is live always and switching dimmer switch on/off still allows
7 volts through to the output of dimmer yes so a faulty switch
Unable to take switch out to access terminals.
Thought about putting switch on 12v input but that would not solve what could be faulty unit So for piece of mind will replace unit.
