We’re looking for a site near the beach for swimming and a town/village for restaurants.
These seems to fit the bill from Camper contact: Campismo Zambujiera and also the site at Carvalhal.
Has anyone been ?

Yes we were there in around 2019. Nice site but choice of pitch was important. As I recall the beach and village was about 15 minutes walk. Again memory is that the beach was down quite a lot of steps from the road/village.
The site had a shop and a restaurant - but best check on ACSI camping card book/website as things do change !

We were also there in 2019 just before the Covid struck.

Lots of gum trees, (can't spell eucalyptus LOL) so at this time of year might be important to park up at the entrance and have a walk around the site if you want the Sun.

One thing I remember was that, despite the sea being, as davidroxburgh said about a 15 mins away, on a night you could clearly hear the surf crashing the beach.
