Hello all, I am looking at changing my van and have seen I really like advertised on motorhome depot. Never used them before and was wondering if anyone has had a good or bad deal with them. Any comments welcolm!

I used them to sell my van 6 years ago and I found them very professional.
For buyers they offer finance if needed. They do the viewings on behalf of the client.
Why not arrange a viewing before someone else snaps it up.

Sold mine to them and bought off them in same deal. No problem. Had a couple of issues both leisure batteries were caput due to lock down they paid for new. Also said cam belt wasnt due until 7 years. It is 5 on a ducato and they paid £500 for that. All this after the deal was done so fair imo.

We would not use them again after our experience.
BUT all the reps are self-employed, so it really is the luck of the draw and I can't believe that they are all bad.
I would say follow your gut feeling on the rep you see.

Bought mine through them last year. Easy to deal with and i found it easier negotiating with them than direct with owner.

They're good people.

Just be aware they are brokers, you probably don't get the consumer protection you would from a dealer, so don't pay dealer prices.

Sold mine 2 weeks ago..was happy enough.Sold within a week and 1st to see bought. Saved me all the leg work etc and got v close to what I wanted.$$.
Though as all "brokers" some are good some maybe not so good.

the van you've seen for sale will be £4-£6k more than the customer wants for it, so don't pay the asking price

Unless you know the market has softened then be prepared to lose the deal if you insist on paying a lower price.

I sold my campervan through MotorhomeDepot this spring and there were three people arguing over who would buy it, all at full asking price.

No harm trying for a discount but take care.

Got mine through them. No problems at all.
but does depend on the “agent” I believe

Two years ago their T&Cs excluded all responsibility on their behalf for anything they said or details given in print. When I asked to speak to the owner they said No. In other words no consumer protection whatsoever. In the end I did a deal with the owner direct. The T&Cs may have changed.

But probably a nice £10k less than a dealer who doesn’t know the vehicle.

A friend sold his van through them earlier this year. He wanted a stress free way to sell and he said Motorhome Depot certainly achieved that. He had in mind what he wanted for the van and actually got more than that so overall, for him, it was the best way to sell.
