Now a year !
Hi all you Spanish roaming funsters
We are packed ( nearly) and off on May5 th for a month to Southern Spain. Using Brittany ferries Portsmouth to Santander if anyone else is on this boat!
Can't find many places to stay near Seville for a few days. The camper stop book has this one, Area Sevilla Centro- any reviews, comments, etc. As usual I expect a few of you will have used this?
Thank you
LC

Puerto Gelves is also in the camperstop.
A few miles out but there is a bus stop just outside which takes you right to the centre.
Really peaceful stop right by the boats.

We stayed at Gelves too - it is really handy, with a couple of bar/restaurants actually on the marina and at least one just outside. Unfortunately the one outside was shut as it was wintertime

Thank you both, will put this on the list as the in town site looks very big!

We have stopped at both locations.
Area Sevilla Centro is a large parking area that is also used by car transporters loading and unloading. It gets quiet after 7pm so no noise problems at night.
There is a room set aside in the admin building where you can get wifi.
It is 15-20 minutes walk to Plaza D'Espana in the centre of Seville so well situated.
However the Puerto Gelves location has a bus stop almost outside the gates which drops you right in the centre too (journey takes about 20 minutes). It has an Aldi and a Lidl very close by for shopping and wifi can be obtained either at one of the restaurants adjacent or at the public library a 5 minute walk away.
Both are good locations for seeing Seville.

If you have a large van Puerto Gelves might be a problem finding a spot to park if it is busy. No problems at the other one as there is masses of space.

The Gelves Marina is fine but it's not the cheapest and the black waste dump is interesting, but we had a good stay there last year.

Great information as usual , thanks . We have a 6 meter van so should fit either, will see where we get to. Very nice to have the choice.

Sorry to burst the bubble but you can no longer park on the breakwater at Gelves (as in photo above) which is a real shame - we were there couple of weeks ago. As a result there are fewer spaces, and only a couple overlooking the river, but they'll try and fit you in somewhere. But don't leave it late in the day! Other than that it's a good spot for Seville, a city we love.

Awww - that's a ruddy shame. We were shoehorned in right next to the wire fence outside the boatyard, with another GB van. We all went into Seville and when we came back they'd squeezed in another!

Oh we'll never mind, we will turn up and see what we get, can always go into Seville to the huge one. Thank you for the information, this is why this forum is so useful you get up to date info.

Area Sevilla is by the river too, easy to walk into the city. Loads of space as others have said.

Yes this looks huge in the book, 100 spaces, as we are only staying a couple of days might try both!

Sorry to reserect an old post but hitting Seville tomorrow or weds, is this park the one at avenida presedente N37.22.20 W5.59.40 no 40897 in motorhome parking???? Gelves is a bit of a faff with the bus and the auto caravans site seems like a bit of a walk into the centre. So looking at the above as apparently it has leccy too and is north of autocaravans and much nearer the city centre. Anyone stayed there, not sure about security but is well reviewed on MH parking TIA for any advice.

The one that Andy linked to is this one.

I have found this camper site on CamperContact:

Area de Autocaravanas de Sevilla
Broken Link Removed

N 37˚21´47˝. W 5˚59´40˝

The Avenida Presidente one is in a car park but is handy for the town, it is the same side of the river as the area Autocaravanas but just the other side of the road bridge.

It's barrier controlled and manned during the day but don't know about at night.

Stayed at Area Sevilla Centro on the way down a couple of weeks ago not pretty but secure. Kept awake until 3 am by either the kids in the car park or the disco on the industrial estate, probably OK midweek, we were there on a Friday night.

I ended up at the marina.....much nicer than the 2 carparks. First nights EHU was suspened onto the marina floating barge and had to allow 2 meters movement. Nice bar opposite, but managed to move from next to the boat hoist to the riverside (y) Really nice to be back in a developed happier country, after being with the miserable diddy men too long.

Very interesting information about places to stay in Seville..................we will probably be in that area at the time of the Feria (2 weeks after Easter) I presume it will all be jam packed but I wonder if anyone has stayed at that time....................maybe the campsite at Dos Hermanos will have more space
