It was an acoustic one that sold, not an electric one, it just has a smaller body so I suppose looks a bit like an electric one.

Shifty - have a word with Mike @makems he may be able to recommend one.
I do indeed have a travel electric guitar. Its a Hofner Shorty and very good quality it is for the price.
It's no Gibson or Fender (I have a few of those too) but its does what it it is designed to do perfectly well.
I find the neck very easy to play with a comfortably low action as long as it has been properly set up. However the neck is slightly shorter than standard and the frets are therefore slightly closer together than normal so those with fatter fingers might find it a bit cramped.
There is a single humbucker pickup which is surprisingly good quality and produces a good range of tones.
I have gigged with the Hofner Shorty on occasions and can recommend it.
I am not intending sell mine any time soon but they can be regularly found on eBay. If you are patient you should be able to pick one up for £50-£60.

Possibly, how small?
The best small guitar amp in my opinion is the Roland Mobile Cube.
You can buy them from amazon Amazon product ASIN
They also come up for sale on eBay regularly. Small, compact, surprisingly loud and a good variety of tones including rverb, echo and chorus. It can also be used for microphones and or music via an aux input.
Not the cheapest, but definitely the best in my opinion.
I have one but wont be selling it.

I have a Taylor gs mini and a Roland mobile cube in the van. I run the cube with a 12 v to 9v voltage converter , works great
